Ashtum El Gamil Protected Area
Ashtum El Gamil Protected Area, Egypt, is also called Ashtom El Gamil, it is located 7 KM west of Port Said, it covers an area of 180 KM, it was founded in 1988 on tannies Island, overlooking El Manzala lake, it is under the management of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA).
Ashtum El Gamil Protected Area, Egypt was constructed for a very important goal as it protects the rare species of animals and birds in that area, for those who love bird watching, Ashtum El Gamil will be your choice as you will see various kinds of birds that you will never see elsewhere, such as Phalacrocorax carbo, Ardea cinerea, Fulica atra, and anguilidae.
