Roman Empire
The Romans invaded Egypt in 30 B.C. after the fall of Cleopatra and Mark Antony when their army was defeated by the army of Octavian in the battle of Actium after sessions of wars; finally he became the ruler of the whole realm and declared himself as Emperor Augustus.
The position of Egypt changed from the Greek Period to the Roman Period, during the Greek Period, Egypt was the center of the ruler and Alexandria was the capital, and the Ptolemaic rulers were still in Egypt. But during the Roman era, the Emperor used to appoint a perfect to rule Egypt and the Roman Emperor himself stays in Rome.
On the other hand, and unlike the Greeks, the Romans were influenced by the Egyptians, they believed in mummification as well as the Egyptian gods. The Roman Emperors depicted themselves as pharaohs.
The Romans were very paganism people and there was not any religion except the Pagan and forbidden other faiths, they persecuted the Christians at the beginning of their Empire, they were jailed, tortured and killed, this was stopped in 313 A.D., by Emperor Constantine when he allowed Christians to worship without fears.
