The 30th Dynasty
The 30th Dynasty of ancient Egypt sometimes is considered part of the Late Period. It was founded by Nectanebo I who seized control of Egypt by the help of the priests, he defended his kingdom from Persian who reinvaded the country.
Nectanebo I made his son Teos coregent and the heir of the throne, they both ruled together until Nectanebo`s death. Teos became the sole king of Egypt, he conquered Syria and Palestine which were part of the Persian realm at that time.
After Teos, his grandson Nectanebo II was placed as king. His reign not a peaceful one; he faced a problem when one of the princes of the 29th Dynasty revolted against him, but he was able to defeat him and several attempts to re-conquer Egypt took place from the Persian rulers side who succeeded at end to capture Egypt until the time of Alexander the Great who beat the Persian and took Egypt to be part of the Macedonian Empire.
