Upper Egypt
Upper Egypt is a name applied on the Nile Valley and its banks; it refers to South of Egypt.
During ancient Egypt, the capital of Upper Egypt was El Kab, known also as Nekheb. It was originally the seat of worship of goddess Nekhbet, the vulture.
In Upper Egypt, Seth was the supreme god. The seat of his worship was Nwbt in Qena Governorate, near Tukh to the north of Naqada.
The King of Upper Egypt wore the white crown, known in ancient Egypt as Hdjet, and the emblem of Upper Egypt was the Lotus flower.
